Stu has been teaching guitar and playing music professionally since 2007. He has previously taught at Yamaha Music School and Wesborough High School and started Bingley Music School way back in 2011.
He was fortunate enough to receive lessons from the extremely talented trio of Kes Loy, Darren Dutson-Bromley and Tom Quayle. Starting at 10 years old, he's played in many groups and become adept at various styles of music. He played in the ever busy violin, vocal and guitar trio - Live Lounge who he twice helped to win awards at a national level.
Stu has built a reputation of being a passionate teacher who enjoys catering to both dedicated and passive learners with a vast range of knowledge and nearly 2 decades of experience. Whilst some of his students have gone on to forge careers in music (with one even winning a very prestigious award) all of his students will continue to enjoy playing their respective instruments in whatever capacity for the rest of their lives.

Milana Sarukhanyan is a Bradford-based Ukrainian soprano, improviser and a vocal coach.
Amongst her operatic repertoire you can find; Elisabeth from Donizetti’s ‘Roberto Devereux’, Lauretta from Puccini’s ‘Gianni Schicchi’, Najad from Strauss’s ‘Ariadne auf Naxos’, Mll. Silberklang from
Mozart’s ‘Der Schaulspieldirektor’, Micaëla from Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ and Emilie from Rameau’s ‘Les Indes Galantes’.
In November 2022 Milana appeared in a role of Bertha in the world premiere of a new version of Rossini’s opera ‘Barber of Seville’ produced by Bradford Opera Festival and adapted by Ian McMillan
in English-Yorkshire dialect. Her work was described as ‘impactful’ by Fiona Maddocks from ‘The Guardian’ as well as ‘added a silky layer of sound’ by Natasha Meek from ‘Telegraph & Argus’.
Her career highlights include appearances on BBC Radio 3 (London) and BBC Radio Leeds, Royal Festival Hall (London), Cafè OTO (London), ONDER STROOM (Antwerp), Knuttel House (Tokyo), Teatro
del’Opera di Roma (Rome), Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), Santander Festival Hall (Santander), and Glazunov Concert Hall (St. Petersburg).
Milana began singing as a young child in the Ukraine and after two years at the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatoire in St. Petersburg, Russia, she relocated to London where she studied at the Royal
Academy of Music and graduated with First-class Honours in 2018 and a Master of Arts Diploma in 2020
Despite her rich artistic background in opera and chamber vocal repertoire, she is a passionate advocate of free improvisation and experimental staging. Her style is often described as ‘wall of
sound’, ’theatrical’, ’comic’, ‘poetic’. In 2022, Milana co-curated together with Christopher Götzen a staged experimental improvisation ‘The Artist is Present 2.0: Musical Response’ which had been
performed numerous time across Lithuania, Germany and the UK.
In the same year, she became a member of London Improvisers Orchestra, established by Butch Morris in the 1990s and shared a stage with Steve Beresford, Phil Minton, Ashley Wales and Maggie
Nicols. This year Milana together with John Bisset released her first improv album ‘Verbo I Voda’ with John which is hugely inspired by Ukrainian folklore and its context related to our times. Verbo I Voda was described by Kate Molleson as ‘beguiling’ on her Late Night BBC 3 radio show.
This autumn, she is preparing to go on her first European tour organised by European Music Collective, presenting KINK project with Guitarist Christoph Götzen and Fleitų 3 Band as well as leading vocal improvisation series of workshops. The tour includes countries such as Germany,
Netherlands, and Belgium.

A group of like-minded tutors with the skills and knowledge to take you from an absolute beginner to wherever you want to be as a musician.
At our music school located in the centre of Bingley, we place paramount importance on ensuring that our teachers are active, professional musicians with extensive experience in the industry, whether that be playing regular live gigs or releasing original music. This requirement is rooted in our belief that the best educators are those who not only possess theoretical knowledge and technical abilities but also bring real-world insights and practical expertise to their teaching.
Above all, our teachers prioritise making lessons fun and encouraging creativity. They believe an engaging environment fosters a love for music and inspires students to explore their artistic potential. Whilst we do offer exams under 3 different popular syllabuses, unlike most music schools we prefer to focus on playing music in real settings like local gigs, our annual concert or just with a group of friends.
We are now running our extremely fun and comprehensive group sessions.
Bingley Music School is currently offering lessons in Guitar, Bass, Ukelele, Piano, Keyboard, Drums, Vocals and Music Theory.
