At our music school located in the centre of Bingley, we place paramount importance on ensuring that our teachers are active, professional musicians with extensive experience in the industry, whether that be playing regular live gigs or releasing original music. This requirement is rooted in our belief that the best educators are those who not only possess theoretical knowledge and technical abilities but also bring real-world insights and practical expertise to their teaching.
Above all, our teachers prioritise making lessons fun and encouraging creativity. They believe an engaging environment fosters a love for music and inspires students to explore their artistic potential. Whilst we do offer exams under 3 different popular syllabuses, unlike most music schools we prefer to focus on playing music in real settings like local gigs, our annual concert or just with a group of friends.
Stu has been teaching guitar and playing music professionally since 2007. He has previously taught at Yamaha Music School and Wesborough High School and started Bingley Music School way back in 2011.
He was fortunate enough to receive lessons from the extremely talented trio of Kes Loy, Darren Dutson-Bromley and Tom Quayle. Starting at 10 years old, he's played in many groups and become adept at various styles of music. He played in the ever busy violin, vocal and guitar trio - Live Lounge who he twice helped to win awards at a national level.
Stu has built a reputation of being a passionate teacher who enjoys catering to both dedicated and passive learners with a vast range of knowledge and nearly 2 decades of experience. Whilst some of his students have gone on to forge careers in music (with one even winning a very prestigious award) all of his students will continue to enjoy playing their respective instruments in whatever capacity for the rest of their lives.
